This course will cover the installation, leveling, operation, troubleshooting, repair and rebuilding of Older floor model Baumfolders. You will learn such things as to how to distinguish between mechanical and operation problems.

This is a hands on school where you will have the opportunity to participate in such things as:

• Removing and reinstalling the fold rolls. You will learn how to properly ream the main drive bushings and idler roll bushings. You will learn how to check the various mechanical parts for wear and determine whether or not to replace them.
• You will learn how to set the spring tension for the fold rolls and how to calibrate the Baumsets. You will be taught how to straighten the deflectors and how to set them for proper clearance.
• You will learn how to replace the register tapes with and without removing the register table.
• You will learn how to adjust and repair the caliper assembly. You will set up and make the various adjustments for the pile feeder.
• You will make the various adjustments to the cross carrier assenbly for the right angle folder.
• You will set up and operate the folder demonstrating various fold impositions. You will review common problems and discuss the way to remedy them.
• We will review the electrical circuitry for the folder and you will trougleshoot some typical electrical problems.

You will receive a Training Manual to keep which will contain in part:

• Information on the different type tools and gages required to service folders
• Information on setting the caliper and how to make various adjustments
• Troubleshooting and operational information
• Electrical information
• How to Identify the various models of Baumfolders
• ...and much more.
