The William Ford Society
The William Ford Society is composed of the descendants of William Ford who was born circa 1722 and died in 1821 in what is now Taylor County, West Virginia. Litttle is known of William Ford while he resided in Maryland, his native state. He moved with his family to Fauquier County, Virginia just before the Revolutionary War and lived there until 1801 when he again moved with his family to what was the wilderness of Monongalia County, Virginia. In 1844, this area became Taylor County, now a part of West Virginia.
